Creating a Fynex account takes a few minutes. You sign up with your email or Google account, confirm your email with a 6-digit code, answer a few questions about your business, and then verify the business so you can process real payments.

## Step by step

1. **Sign up.** Go to the sign-up page and create an account with your work email and a password, or continue with Google.
2. **Confirm your email.** We email you a 6-digit code. Enter it to confirm your address. If it doesn't arrive, see [I'm not receiving my verification code](/docs/getting-started/im-not-receiving-my-verification-code/).
3. **Tell us about your business.** We ask for your name and role, your business name, industry, and the country your business is based in. A business website is optional.
4. **Verify your business.** To switch on live payments, you complete a short business verification (KYB). See [What documents do I need to verify my business?](/docs/getting-started/what-documents-do-i-need-to-verify-my-business/)

## What you can do right away

You don't have to wait for verification to explore. Before you go live, your account is in test mode — you can create payment links, set up split rules, and run test payments to see the full flow. Live payments switch on once your business is verified.
