While your business verification is under review, your account is in **test mode** — and there's a lot you can do. You can create payment links, set up split rules, connect integrations, and run test payments through the full flow. The only thing that waits for verification is taking **live** payments and paying out real money.

## Get set up now, go live later

- **Build your payment links** so they're ready to send on day one.
- **Set up split rules and payees** if you run a [platform or marketplace](/marketplaces/).
- **Run test payments** to see exactly what your customers will experience — see [How do I test payments before going live?](/docs/getting-started/how-do-i-test-payments-before-going-live/)
- **Connect your tools** (accounting, your store) so everything's wired up.
