After a payout is approved and sent, it moves through **processing** and then shows **completed** once the bank has the money. How long that takes depends on the [payment rail](/blog/faster-payments-vs-bacs-vs-chaps/) (for example SEPA for EUR) and the receiving bank, so we don't promise a fixed arrival time we can't guarantee.

## The status tells you where it is

- **Pending** — waiting on something before it can send, usually approval or a review. See [Why is my payout pending or on hold?](/docs/payouts/why-is-my-payout-pending-or-on-hold/)
- **Processing** — approved and sent; the bank is moving it. This is the normal final stage.
- **Completed** — the payout is done from our side.
- **Failed** — it didn't send and the money is back in your balance. See [Why did my payout fail?](/docs/payouts/why-did-my-payout-fail/)

## If it's taking too long

A payout that's been **processing** far longer than your others may be worth chasing. [Contact support](/docs/account-and-team/how-do-i-contact-fynex-support/) with the payout reference and we'll check it with the bank.
