What you get
What Fynex does with Google Sheets
Fynex reads from Google Sheets and does the finance work on top; it writes nothing back.
The sheet you already keep
Jobs, payees, invoices — whatever the tab holds. Map the columns once and each row becomes something the money can be matched to.
Watched for changes
Fynex watches the sheet through Google Drive. Edit a row and it is read within moments, without anyone re-uploading a file.
Matched to the money
A payment received, a payout sent, a bill due — each lands against the row it belongs to, so the sheet and the bank agree.
Read only
Fynex reads the tab you chose and writes nothing to it. Your formulas and your formatting are untouched.
How to connect
Connect it in three steps
Done once, from the dashboard, by whoever owns the account.
1
Approve Fynex
Google sign-in — you approve Fynex to read the spreadsheets you choose.
2
Choose the spreadsheet and the tab
Fynex lists what your account can see; pick the spreadsheet and the tab. One choice per connection, changeable later.
3
Let it run
Fynex watches the sheet through Google Drive, so an edited row is read within moments; a scheduled resync catches the rest.
Reads and writes
What Fynex reads, and what it writes
Read from Google Sheets: the rows of the tab you chose, with the columns you map.
Written to Google Sheets: nothing. This connection is read-only — Fynex keeps its own record of what happened to the money and shows it on the dashboard.

Security
How the connection is held
The same three rules on every connection Fynex makes.
OAuth, never a password
You approve Fynex inside the provider's own sign-in. Fynex holds an access token, not your credentials, and you can revoke it from either side.
Tokens encrypted at rest
Every connection token is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key that never leaves the Fynex environment. One connection per business per provider.
Every write is logged
Where Fynex writes back, the write is recorded with what changed and why — only after the underlying event actually happened, never speculatively.

The rows of the tab you chose, using the columns you mapped — a name, an amount, a reference, a date. Each row becomes a job, a payee or an invoice that the money is matched to.
No. The connection is read-only. Fynex keeps its own record of what happened to the money per row; your formulas and formatting are never touched.
Upload it. Fynex also takes a one-off CSV or XLSX import with the same column mapping — useful for a payee list or a backlog of invoices that does not live in a shared sheet.
Yes, from Settings → Integrations, or by removing Fynex from your Google account's connected apps. The watch on the sheet is removed and the sheet is unchanged.
