What you get

What Fynex does with Plaid

Fynex reads from Plaid and does the finance work on top; it writes nothing back.

Every account in one position

Current, savings and card accounts across banks, read through one connection, one cash position on the dashboard.

Transactions as they post

Plaid tells Fynex when there is something new; Fynex pulls it by cursor, so a transaction is read once and never missed.

Matched to what you're owed

Each incoming payment is matched to its invoice, each outgoing one to its bill or payout — the reconciliation your bookkeeper does by hand.

Read only, by design

Plaid gives Fynex sight of the account, not control of it. Nothing on this connection can move money.

How to connect

Connect it in three steps

Done once, from the dashboard, by whoever owns the account.

  1. 1

    Approve Fynex

Plaid Link — you pick your bank and sign in inside Plaid's own window. Your bank credentials never reach Fynex.

  2. 2

    Choose the accounts to share

Fynex lists what your account can see; pick the accounts to share. One choice per connection, changeable later.

  3. 3

    Let it run

Plaid notifies Fynex when new transactions are available; Fynex pulls them by cursor so nothing is fetched twice, and resyncs on a schedule.

Reads and writes

What Fynex reads, and what it writes

Read from Plaid: accounts and balances and transactions, as they post.

Written to Plaid: nothing. This connection is read-only — Fynex keeps its own record of what happened to the money and shows it on the dashboard.

How the connection is held

The same three rules on every connection Fynex makes.

OAuth, never a password

You approve Fynex inside the provider's own sign-in. Fynex holds an access token, not your credentials, and you can revoke it from either side.

Tokens encrypted at rest

Every connection token is stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM) with a key that never leaves the Fynex environment. One connection per business per provider.

Every write is logged

Where Fynex writes back, the write is recorded with what changed and why — only after the underlying event actually happened, never speculatively.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Through Plaid Link. You choose your bank and sign in inside Plaid's window; Fynex receives an access token for the accounts you selected, never your credentials. Thousands of banks in the US and UK are covered.
The accounts you shared, their balances, and their transactions as they post. That is all: the connection is read-only, and nothing on it can initiate a payment.
Plaid notifies Fynex when new transactions are available and Fynex pulls them immediately, by cursor, so each one is read exactly once. A scheduled resync covers anything missed.
Matches each one to the invoice, bill or payout it belongs to, flags the ones it cannot match for review, and keeps a live cash position across every connected account.
Yes, from Settings → Integrations at any time. Disconnecting revokes the token; transactions already matched stay matched.
