Why is my payout pending or on hold?
A payout can be waiting for three different reasons — approval by a teammate, a compliance review, or normal bank processing. Here's how to tell which one, and what to do.
A payout that hasn’t arrived yet is usually waiting for one of three reasons: it needs to be approved by someone on your team, it’s in a compliance review, or it’s in normal bank processing. The status on the payout tells you which one — and each has a different fix.
1. Waiting for approval
For security, payouts can require a second person on your team to approve them before the money moves. A payout waiting this way shows as awaiting approval.
What to do: someone with payout-approval rights opens the payout and approves it. Approving requires a second factor — a 2FA code or a passkey — because it releases real money to a bank account. Once approved, the payout moves to processing. See Why do I need 2FA or a passkey to approve a payout?

2. In a compliance review
Some payouts are paused for an automated compliance check. This isn’t something you did wrong — it’s a routine control that runs on money movement.
What to do: there’s nothing to fix on your side. Most clear on their own. If a payout stays in review or you need it urgently, contact support and we’ll look into it. (We can’t promise a fixed turnaround on a compliance review, so we won’t quote one — but we can tell you where it stands.)
3. In bank processing
Once a payout is approved and sent, it shows as processing while the bank moves the money. This is the normal, final stage before it lands.
What to do: usually just wait — this is expected. If a payout has been stuck in processing for much longer than the others, contact support so we can chase it with the bank.
