How do I create a split rule?
Create a split rule in the Split rules section, choose the payees and how much each gets, and activate it. You can preview a split before it goes live, schedule it, and clone an existing rule.
You create a split rule in Split payments → Split rules → Create. A rule sets who gets what from a matching payment — the payees and their shares — and once you activate it, every matching payment splits the same way automatically.
Create a rule
- Go to Split payments → Split rules and start a new rule.
- Add the payees and set each one’s share — a percentage, a fixed amount, or a mix. See How do split payments work? for the options.
- Set priorities, caps, and what happens to any remainder if you need to.
- Preview the split to see how a sample payment would divide before it’s live.
- Activate the rule. Active rules apply to incoming payments; you can deactivate one at any time.
Save time
- Clone an existing rule to start a new one from a working copy instead of building from scratch.
- Schedule a rule if you want it to apply from a certain point.
- A rule shows as active or inactive — only active rules split payments.
